The name Strangford comes from the Old Norse Strangfjörthr, meaning "strong fjord" Fjord Bakery, founded in 2020 in Ballyhalbert, is a Nordic-Irish inspired bakery. Our bakes are heavily inspired by nature featuring seasonal artisan tarts, cinnamon buns, bakes with edible flowers and foraged ingredients. We’re passionate about using fresh, local ingredients and creating simple, delicious treats that reflect both the Irish and Nordic influences.
